McCLAIN COUNTY EXPO CENTER
GROUNDS & MAINTENANCE
McClain County is seeking a dependable, self-motivated individual for a full-time position responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and upkeep of the McClain County Expo Center and surrounding grounds.
Responsibilities Include:
- Mowing, trimming, weed-eating, and general grounds maintenance
- Preparing arenas, livestock areas, and event spaces
- Setting up and tearing down for county fairs, livestock events, rentals, and other activities
- General painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and facility maintenance
- Operating tractors, skid steers, water trucks, mowers, and other equipment
- Assisting with scheduling and coordinating events and facility rentals
- Working with organizations and individuals renting the Expo Center
- Coordinating with county offices, the County Free Fair Board, and Expo Coordinator
- Maintaining the facility and grounds in a clean, safe, and presentable condition
Schedule: Full-time with a flexible schedule. Evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required based on scheduled events and facility needs.
The ideal candidate must be dependable, self-motivated, able to work independently, organized, and comfortable performing physical work both indoors and outdoors. Experience operating grounds and maintenance equipment is helpful, but willingness and ability to learn is important.
