Governor’s Burn Ban News & Alerts
Effective February 15th, 2018 by order of Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin, ALL outdoor burning, combustible materials and ignition sources are banned in McClain County Oklahoma. This Burn Ban will expire March 2nd, 2018.
Extreme fire conditions exist in McClain County due to extraordinary drought. All conditions and exemptions are outlined by Oklahoma Forestry Services, a division of the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, on their website.
Failure to observe this ban may result in criminal prosecution under O.S. Title 2 Article 16 § 26, punishable by a fine not to exceed $1000, imprisonment for not more than one year, or both.
